Sous l’égide de la Fédération cambodgienne de rugby et de l’ONG Kampuchea Balopp, plus de 700 jeunes amateurs de rugby ont vécu une exceptionnelle journée de rugby au Vieux Stade le 7 juillet dernier. Quelques soixante “Crabes” de Taramana avaient été conviés à l’événement sportif phare avec un entrainement géant le matin, filles et garçons confondus. En lever de rideau du match officiel Cambodge-Brunei, une revanche Taraspeca-PSE a vu l’association des “Crabes” et des Warriors d’Aspeca rééditer l’exploit du 28 avril dernier sur le même score : 3 essais à 0. L’équipe nationale du Cambodge a, quant à elle, fait mordre la poussière du Vieux Stade à l’équipe du Brunei en leur infligeant une sévère correction par le score sans appel de 38 à 0 avec le soutien particulièrement affirmé et bruyant des supporters de Taramana. A noter que les huit “Crabes” champions du Cambodge dans la catégorie des moins de 15 ans sont allés passer trois jours de rêve sur les plages de Sihanoukville du 13 au 15 juillet dernier avec leurs camarades de l’ONG Aspeca-Enfants d’Asie sur invitation de l’ONG Kampuchea Balopp emmenée par Jean-Baptiste Suberbie, ancien bénévole Taramana. Under the auspices of the Cambodian Rugby Federation and the NGO Kampuchea Balopp, more than 700 young rugby amateur players experienced an exceptional day of rugby on July 7th in the Old Stadium in Phnom Pehn.   About sixty Taramana “Crabs” were invited in the morning to this key sporting event which started out with a huge mixed boy/girl warm-up session. The appetizer was the Cambodia-Brunei match followed by a Taraspeca-PSE revenge game with a face off between the “Crabs” and the Aspeca Warriors in a quasi-repeated April 28th match which ended up in the same score: 3 to 0.   As for the national Cambodian rugby team, they really gave it to the team from Brunei with a final score of 38 to 0, proudly supported by a particularly noisy Taramana fan club!   The eight victorious members of the “Crabs” in the under 15 category spent three dreamy days on the beach at Sihanoukville from July 13th to 15th with their fellow rugby players from the NGO Aspeca-Enfants d’Asie thanks to an invitatation by the NGO Kampuchea Balopp supervised by Jean-Baptiste Suberbie, a former Taramana volunteer.   Check out the reportage and photos at:: http://www.kampuchearugby.com/?p=1108
