LIke every year, January is the month for the annual medical check-up for kids at Taramana. The priority was on those kids who play a specific sport or do a certain type of physical activity (soccer, rugby, hip-hop).   In the first wave of check-ups, more than 100 children benefited from a sport aptitude check-up. All the 210 kids eventually had their visit to the infirmary to verify proper growth and the state of their general health.   We have noted an obvious decrease in the number of gastro-intestinal illnesses thanks, on one hand, to the installation of drinkable, clean water in the slum areas (thanks to the financial support of the Association), and on the other han, to proper hand hygiene instruction given to all the kids who come to the Centre’s cantine.
