Opening of the Taramana center

Opening of the Taramana center in a building of 600 square metres. The children receive Khmer, English and French classes as complimentary classes to public school.

Recognition of the NGO

The NGO Taramana is recognized by the Ministery of the Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Mrs Kun Shitan is the President.

Fiscal receipts

Taramana is allowed to issue fiscal receipts for the donations.

First rice distribution

First rice distribution for the families and the beginning of a vaccination protocol for the inhabitants of the slum.

First English and French classes

First English and French classes for more than forty students in a little wood hut along the disused railway which runs through the slum.

Taramana starts giving general support

Taramana starts giving general support to the children of the slum Boeng Salang, in the north of Phnom Penh.

« Tara » (Séthara) and « Mana » (Maryna)

« Tara » (Séthara) and « Mana » (Maryna), two cambodian orphans, leave for France and get help for their studies.

Foundation of the charity Taramana by the founding members Dr Jocelyn Dordé, Dolores and Eric Brunot who came back from a humanitarian assignment in Cambodia.
